Kevin Lee Steps In for PFL...

NEW YORK — The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has officially announced a high-stakes shakeup for PFL World Tournament 6: Semifinals, set for Friday, June 20, at the iconic INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.

In a headline-grabbing move, former UFC title challenger Kevin Lee (20-8) has signed with the PFL and will step into the Lightweight Semifinal as a replacement for the injured Jay-Jay Wilson. Lee will square off against 2024 PFL Lightweight Champion Gadzhi Rabadanov (25-4-2) in a new-look main event. While Lee did not participate in the First Round, he entered the 2025 season as an official alternate and remains eligible to claim the PFL Lightweight Championship.

High-Stakes Semifinals Set for June 20

Joining the main card is a compelling Women’s Flyweight Semifinal featuring former Bellator Flyweight Champion Liz Carmouche (23-8) taking on undefeated prospect Elora Dana (8-0). Carmouche’s experience will be tested against Dana’s perfect record, with a place in the 2025 PFL World Tournament Finals on the line.

Two key Bantamweight Semifinal matchups round out the card:

• Jake Hadley (12-4) of England collides with Marcirley Alves (13-4) of Brazil in a pivotal clash.
• In a dramatic showdown between former training partners turned rivals, Mando Gutierrez (11-3) of Mexico takes on Justin Wetzell (11-2) from Denver.

Each fight is a win-or-go-home scenario, with all semifinal winners earning a spot in the August 2025 Finals.

Fans in the U.S., Canada, and Europe can catch all the action live on ESPN platforms, while DAZN will stream the event across additional international markets. The PFL World Tournament will be broadcast to over 190 countries through 20 global media partners.

MMA’s Most Demanding Format Returns

The PFL’s unique single-elimination tournament format continues to push fighters to their limits. This year’s tournament features eight divisions: Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, Welterweight, Lightweight, Featherweight, Bantamweight, and Women’s Flyweight. Over five months, 64 elite athletes from around the world will battle to become PFL World Champions.

Semifinal bouts will be contested over three five-minute rounds, while Finals matchups will extend to five five-minute rounds. Notably, elbows are now permitted in all PFL fights for 2025.

This year’s tournament will award over $20 million in prize money, including a $500,000 championship bonus for each division winner — cementing the PFL as home to MMA’s most grueling and rewarding competition.
